Inspur Power Systems and Yadro Join OpenPOWER Foundation as Platinum Members

PISCATAWAY, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The OpenPOWER Foundation announced today two new Platinum-level members: Inspur Power Systems and Yadro.

“Since our founding in 2013, compute infrastructure deployment has advanced and evolved,” said Bryan Talik, president, OpenPOWER Foundation. “Having Inspur Power Systems and Yadro participate in the foundation at the Platinum level signifies the growth of open innovation in key markets around the world.”

Inspur Power Systems: Infrastructure Innovation

Inspur Power Systems strives to develop a new generation of OpenPOWER server products for data centers facing the “cloud intelligence” era. The company has released three OpenPOWER servers in 2018 that provide improved performance and reduced total cost of ownership.

“Inspur Power Systems is committed to research, development and production of server products based on POWER technology,” said Jimmy Zheng, OpenPower server product manager, Inspur Power Systems. “We will focus on improving the server ecosystem and empowering customers in the age of artificial intelligence, machine learning and cloud servers.”

Yadro: Engineering Excellence

Yadro is committed to transforming the way enterprises address IT challenges. Its VESNIN server is the worlds first OpenPOWER enterprise-class, high-performance server designed for data-intensive applications, and supports the growing demand for efficient scale-out installations.

“We believe OpenPOWER will be a core technology as infrastructure evolves to enable cognitive computing,” said Artem Ikoev, co-founder and CTO, Yadro. “Were excited to increase our partnership with the OpenPOWER Foundation and accelerate our efforts to help enterprises transform their IT capabilities.”

Both Ikoev and Zheng were appointed to the OpenPOWER Foundation Board of Directors in October, Ikoev as its Chair and Zheng as a Director.
